BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
To perform all aspects that are required to install and maintain industrial and facility equipment.
Broad skills required in mechanical and electromechanical systems including experience with PLCs, AC & DC drives. The person must be able to design, fabricate and weld. Perform necessary troubleshooting. The industrial maintenance mechanic reports to the Industrial Maintenance Supervisor at the manufacturing facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE
Perform maintenance safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures
Respond to plant breakdowns and unplanned outages
Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings, mechanical drawings and have basic understanding of process concepts, control systems, and instrumentation equipment Ability to maintain and troubleshoot 24/120/220/480 VAC electrical systems & low voltage control systems
Perform work associated with scheduled preventative and routine maintenance on plant equipment
Assist operations personnel in the diagnosis and troubleshooting of plant equipment problems
Actively participate in core-cause analysis associated with equipment failures
Assist personnel in the startup of equipment after maintenance completion
Advanced knowledge in the operation of centrifugal pumps, compressed air system, gearboxes, piping and valves, and rigging
Complete repairs and rebuilds on gearboxes and centrifugal pumps, etc.
Keep tools and equipment in good working condition and organized
Perform other duties assigned by the Plant Manager
Flexible hours and on-call work will be required
Accountable for understanding and putting into practice the SHE Principles
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Preferred candidates will have at least 5 years industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a continuous process industry or two years post-secondary education in a technical school with 2 years industrial maintenance experience or college education with a concentration in industrial technology or an equivalent combination of work experience and education
Must be a U.S. citizen or a non-U.S. citizen having legal status to reside and work in the U.S. for reasons other than practical training
Initiative, adaptability, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position
Must be able to work safely in a production environment; must be physically capable of performing job-related tasks and job duties.
Proven leadership, persuasive, initiative, adaptability, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position.

Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employees must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders.
Ability to stand and walk 8-10 hours per day.
Ability to wear PPE, including, but not limited to, hard hat, safety glasses and steel toe footwear that meets
ASTM F-2413-2005
standards while in required locations.
The employee will be required to: read, communicate verbally and in written form, remember and analyze certain information, and remember and understand certain instructions or guidelines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, and sit
Employees are frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel and to reach with hands and arms.

Capable of lifting heavy objects up to 25 pounds.
Must be available on Call, as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to work inside and outside during inclement weather.
Work closely with quality control, production, shipping and plant manager
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel is rarely required. Travel to other cities or manufacturing facilities may be necessary for training or benchmarking purposes. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within WL Plastics; therefore, candidates and employees must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
