Job Description
Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. (JLL) is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support safe, efficient operations across commercial properties. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems; complete inspections, troubleshoot issues, and respond to work orders and emergencies. You'll collaborate with vendors, support tenant needs, and keep accurate maintenance records while following JLL's standards for safety, sustainability, and client service. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and complete work orders in a timely manner Support vendors and contractors during on-site repairs and projects Monitor building safety, access, and general condition, reporting hazards or deficiencies Maintain maintenance records, logs, and asset information in facility management systems Assist with space moves, minor repairs, and general facility upkeep for tenants and clients Respond to urgent maintenance requests and participate in after-hours/on-call rotation as needed Follow JLL safety, compliance, and sustainability standards in all work activities Required Skills HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting Basic electrical repair and troubleshooting Plumbing systems maintenance Building automation systems (BAS) familiarity Reading blueprints and technical manuals Use of CMMS/work order systems Hand and power tool proficiency Safety and OSHA compliance knowledge Vendor and contractor coordination Basic computer and mobile device skills
