Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled maintenance staff member to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and maintenance of building systems and equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills in a fast-paced setting while contributing to the overall efficiency of our facilities. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal performance. Repair and troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other mechanical repairs to maintain the integrity of facilities infrastructure. Maintain facilities equipment by diagnosing issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems; execute repairs promptly. Use hand tools and technical schematics to complete maintenance tasks accurately and efficiently. Support maintenance painting projects to uphold the aesthetic quality of interior spaces. Assist with maintenance of residential painting projects and general building interior upkeep to enhance environment quality. Collaborate with team members on complex repairs involving HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, or electrical work while adhering to safety standards. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts inventory related to maintenance, repair and operations (MRO). Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for maintenance support and ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related field with a strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, and building interior maintenance. Knowledge of schematics for electrical wiring and mechanical components; ability to interpret technical diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical equipment repair, welding techniques, carpentry skills, and plumbing system maintenance. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and HVAC system repair is highly desirable. Ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues effectively. Strong communication skills in English; capable of understanding technical instructions and documenting work clearly. Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.
