Unlike many assembly positions, this is not repetitive production-line work. We manufacture a wide variety of specialized products in small quantities, so every day is different. You'll build different cable configurations, wire unique electrical assemblies, and work on a constantly changing mix of products that keeps the job interesting while allowing you to continue developing your skills. Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Precision Soldering & Cable Assembly Technician to join our production team. This position involves assembling custom camera cables, wiring junction boxes, and building other electrical assemblies while maintaining the highest standards of quality, precision, and workmanship. Responsibilities Assemble custom cable assemblies according to work instructions. Perform precision hand soldering on connectors, wires, and electronic components. Build and terminate cable assemblies to a high standard of quality. Wire junction boxes and other electrical assemblies. Inspect completed assemblies and perform continuity and functionality testing. Apply heat shrink, cable sleeving, labeling, and final finishing. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area. Follow established quality-control procedures and assembly standards. Qualifications Intermediate to advanced soldering skills are required. Must be proficient in micro soldering and working with small electronic components and fine-pitch connections. Experience working with 22-28 AWG high-strand-count wire, multi-conductor cables, and other fine-gauge wiring is required. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to consistently producing high-quality work. Comfortable using hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, and testing equipment such as multimeters. Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions and work independently. Reliable, organized, and dependable. Preferred Qualifications Experience assembling custom cable harnesses or electronic assemblies. Experience with LEMO connectors and other push-pull connectors is a strong plus. Experience with continuity testing and cable troubleshooting. IPC/WHMA-A-620 or similar electronics assembly certification is a plus, but not required. Tools & Equipment You'll Work With We believe great work starts with great tools. You'll work with professional-grade equipment in a clean and organized production environment, including: Hakko 3-channel soldering stations HEPA-filtered fume extraction systems at every soldering workstation Automatic wire-cutting and stripping machines Precision wire strippers, crimpers, and other professional hand tools Digital multimeters and continuity testers Heat guns and professional heat-shrink equipment High-end connectors, including LEMO, Fischer, and other push-pull connectors Coaxial cables, multi-conductor cables, miniature cables, and fine-gauge high-strand-count wire Professional cable sleeving, labeling, and finishing equipment You'll work on products ranging from simple cable assemblies to highly specialized wiring for professional camera stabilization systems, giving you the opportunity to continually expand your skills while using high-quality tools and equipment. Schedule & Compensation We understand that many skilled technicians have other commitments, so this position offers an extremely flexible schedule. During the initial training period, approximately the first three months, work will generally be performed during normal business hours so we can provide hands-on training and support. After successfully completing the training period and demonstrating the ability to work independently, you will have the flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, or virtually any hours that fit your schedule, provided production deadlines are met. Compensation will be based on your soldering ability, productivity, workmanship, and overall fit for the position. Final pay will be determined following one or more paid trial shifts, allowing us to evaluate your skills while giving you the opportunity to experience the work environment and determine whether the position is a good fit.
