Description We are looking for a Jr. Facilities and Cabling Technician to join our team. You will learn from and help senior technicians. Prior experience with cabling is preferred but not required. This is a full-time on-site position located in Irvine, California, and will require travel to sites in and near Orange County. While the schedule will usually be Monday through Friday during business hours, flexible scheduling with open availability will be needed. Responsibilities Learn from and assist Senior Facilities and Cabling Technicians Trace, create, run, patch, tag, and manage cables Label cables physically and on diagrams Deploy and terminate various types of cable and cross-connections in data centers and at customer offices, which may include fiber, copper, 1G, or 10G cable Inventory cables, ports, and equipment Rack and stack, de-rack and de-stack Ship, retrieve, process, and inventory packages and equipment Provide access and escort to customers to their equipment Drive to and support locations in and near Orange County Provide remote hands for engineers and customers Perform other job duties as needed Physical Requirements of the Role Must be able to safely lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis without assistance Must be able to safely lift heavier equipment with team assistance or use of appropriate lifting equipment (dollies, carts) Must be able to reach, bend, and crouch to access equipment in tight or elevated spaces, including server racks at floor and ceiling levels. Must be capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the data center environment for extended periods of time. Must be able to work on ladders or platforms to manage cable runs or hardware in elevated racks. Must be able to do repeated hand and arm movements for cable management, hardware installation, and equipment maintenance. Must be able to use proper body mechanics while adhering to safety guidelines to prevent injury Preferred Qualifications Experience with and knowledge of cabling Fiber splicing experience General network knowledge including, TCP/IP, Layer 2 (VLAN), WAPs, 802.11x, routing, switching BICSI, C-7, and/or forklift certification Certifications by CompTIA, Cisco, Palo Alto, or possessing equivalent knowledge Compensation and Benefits Selected candidates' job grade and starting salary will be determined by the evaluation of factors including relevant skills, knowledge, and experience. Employees who complete the first 90 days of employment will be eligible for Paid Time Off of up to 10 vacation/personal days, 5 sick days, birthdays off, and 8 company holidays each year.

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
