Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team and drive excellence in telecommunications and low-voltage systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and repairing a wide range of low-voltage systems including CCTV, fiber optic networks, structured cabling, VoIP telephony, and Ethernet systems. Your expertise will ensure seamless communication infrastructure for our clients, delivering reliable solutions that keep their operations running smoothly. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize advanced diagnostic tools, and develop your skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Duties Install, configure, and troubleshoot telecommunications systems such as VoIP phones, Unifi routers, Juniper devices, and Avaya communication platforms. Perform fiber optic splicing, cable termination, and structured cabling installation (Cat5, Cat6) to support network wiring and communication system setup. Conduct network installation tasks including Ethernet wiring, LAN setup, and equipment rack wiring using hand tools and power tools. Test and diagnose issues with low-voltage electrical systems using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and telecommunications testing equipment. Maintain detailed documentation of schematics, wiring diagrams, and system configurations to ensure accurate records for future reference. Perform fiber optic systems installation and testing for high-speed data transmission across various environments. Provide field service support by troubleshooting equipment problems onsite and performing repairs on telecommunication hardware such as switches, routers, and RF testing devices. Requirements Proven experience with low-voltage electrical wiring, network cabling (Cat5/Cat6), and structured cabling installation in commercial or industrial settings. Strong knowledge of Access Control and alarm systems. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and network layouts accurately. Hands-on experience with fiber splicing techniques and fiber optic system installation is highly preferred. Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, telecommunications testers, and other testing equipment used for troubleshooting. Skilled in the use of hand tools (wire strippers, crimpers) and power tools necessary for cabling and equipment installation. Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems relevant to low-voltage applications. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to work in various environments including heights or confined spaces when required. Pay:
$26.65 - $32.10 per hour
