Job Description

DRI Systems Is Hiring Multiple Low Voltage Technicians II! Ready to take your low-voltage career to the next level? DRI Systems is growing and hiring multiple Low Voltage Technician II professionals to join our Operations team. We're looking for Structured Cabling Technicians to support nationwide network infrastructure deployments for major enterprise clients. This is a travel-based contract role where technicians work alongside Lead Engineers and Senior Technicians performing structured cabling installations, rack-and-stack deployments, MDF/IDF buildouts, and technology refresh projects at customer sites across the U.S. This position is ideal for technicians who enjoy traveling, working with their hands, and being part of a professional team delivering high-quality technology installations for enterprise customers. Your Impact As a Low Voltage Technician II , you'll be responsible for installing, testing, documenting, and troubleshooting structured cabling and low-voltage systems in commercial and industrial environments. You'll work independently on standard assignments, support project success, and help mentor less-experienced technicians in the field. What You'll DoCore Responsibilities ✅ Terminate RJ45 connectors, keystone jacks, and patch panels to company and industry workmanship standards. ✅ Install J-hooks, cable supports, ladder racks, cabinets, racks, patch panels, and cable management hardware. ✅ Build, dress, and organize network racks according to project specifications and design documents. ✅ Install and support: Network Switches UPS/PDU Units Wireless Access Points (APs) CCTV Cameras Access Control Devices Other low-voltage infrastructure equipment ✅ Operate copper certification testers and accurately save, organize, and document test results. ✅ Analyze routine certification failures and troubleshoot workmanship or connectivity issues. ✅ Install and troubleshoot: Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A cabling Structured cabling pathways Grounding and bonding components Associated project documentation ✅ Perform physical-layer diagnostics and power/PoE validation without making unauthorized network configurations. ✅ Maintain accurate project documentation, closeout records, labeling, test reports, and installation photos. ✅ Communicate project progress, technical findings, risks, and challenges to project leadership. ✅ Support and mentor entry-level technicians while promoting safe and efficient work practices. What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications 2+ years of experience in structured cabling, low-voltage systems, telecommunications, or related infrastructure projects. High School Diploma, GED, technical education, or equivalent experience.
Proven ability to independently perform:
Copper terminations Cable certification Rack installation and organization Troubleshooting failed links Labeling and documentation Experience deploying: Wireless Access Points Security Cameras Access Control Devices Basic Network Equipment UPS/PDU Systems Strong understanding of: Structured cabling standards and best practices Testing and certification processes Rack and cabinet installations Cable pathways and support systems Grounding and bonding fundamentals Ability to interpret project plans, design documents, and scopes of work. Strong communication and organizational skills. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (when required). Ability to travel, work flexible schedules, and meet site access requirements. Preferred Qualifications ⭐ OSHA 10 Certification ⭐ BICSI Installer 1 or Installer 2 Copper Certification ⭐

Certification ⭐ BICSI Installer 2 Fiber Certification ⭐ Fiber optic inspection, cleaning, and testing experience ⭐Lift, ladder, and fall protection certifications ⭐Good communication and customer service skills ⭐Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. ⭐Valid U.S. Driver's License and clean driving record required ⭐Ability to travel nationwide Monday-Friday ⭐Real ID required for air travel Availability & Travel This is a nationwide travel position.
