Job Description

Job Summary A growing technology systems integration company is seeking an experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician for a full-time, direct hire opportunity supporting commercial projects throughout the Washington, DC metro area, including Northern Virginia and Maryland. This role is ideal for a hands-on field professional with strong structured cabling, fiber optic, and telecommunications infrastructure experience. The Lead Low Voltage Technician will take ownership of installations, troubleshooting, testing, and job site coordination while working closely with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and field teams. Key Responsibilities Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and repair structured cabling, fiber optic, CAT3, CAT5e, CAT6, coaxial, and related low voltage systems. Build and support telecommunications closets, including racks, patch panels, backboards, cross-connects, and cable management systems. Perform fiber optic splicing, termination, acceptance testing, and certification using OTDRs, power meters, and related testing equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, engineering plans, and project specifications to complete installations accurately. Coordinate daily work with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and other trades to keep projects moving safely and on schedule. Diagnose and repair cable faults, document completed work, and maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site. Compensation and Benefits Direct hire opportunity.
Pay range:
$25.00 to $32.00 per hour, based on experience. Full-time field-based role supporting projects throughout Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland.
