Job Description

The Fulfillment Technician is responsible for the installation, provisioning, testing, and activation of telecommunications services for residential, commercial, and enterprise customers. This role ensures all services are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities :
Install, configure, and activate telecom services including internet, voice, and data systems Perform service provisioning, testing, and troubleshooting of network connections Interpret work orders, engineering drawings, and service tickets to complete installations Ensure proper setup of customer-premise equipment (CPE) such as routers, modems, and switches Conduct signal testing and verify service quality meets company standards Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and performance issues Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and test results Communicate effectively with customers to explain services, usage, and basic troubleshooting Follow all safety procedures and company policies while working in the field or customer locations Collaborate with dispatch, engineering, and network operations teams to resolve complex issues
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required 1-3+ years of experience in telecommunications, field service, or network installation Knowledge of fiber optics, coax, and copper cabling preferred Familiarity with networking concepts (IP addressing, routers, switches, etc.) Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and work orders Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 75-85 lbs
Preferred Skills :
Experience with fiber splicing, OTDR testing, or structured cabling Knowledge of telecom providers (e.g., ISP, VoIP systems, Metro-E) Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Work Environment :
Field-based role with travel to customer sites Exposure to outdoor elements, heights, and confined spaces May require on-call, weekend, or after-hours work
