Paramount Communications Group LLC (PCG) is hiring experienced and motivated Field Service Technicians in the Bronx, NY to perform residential and commercial Optimum coax and fiber installations, service calls, troubleshooting, and related field-service work. This is a production-based field position. Your earnings are based on the work you successfully complete—not the number of hours you remain in the field.

This position is NOT hourly.
WE DO NOT PAY FOR
GAS,TOLLS or Tickets!!! Technicians are paid per successfully completed and approved job/work order, according to the applicable PCG production rate structure. You should only apply if you are comfortable working in a performance-driven telecommunications environment where: Pay is based on completed production. Work must pass required quality-control standards. Technicians must meet company and client performance metrics. Failed work, preventable repeats, damages, missing equipment, or other chargeable items may result in backcharges where permitted by your agreement and applicable law. Jobs must be properly closed out with required documentation, photos, testing, and system updates. Attendance, reliability, customer service, workmanship, and productivity are monitored. Continued failure to meet required production or quality standards may result in removal from the project.
TRAINING PCG
does not compensate technicians for the initial training period. A minimum of 5 days of mandatory training is required before a technician may be approved for independent field work.
Training may include:
Optimum installation procedures Coax installation Fiber installation Fiber handling and troubleshooting RG6 cable installation Modem/router installation Wi-Fi setup Customer education Signal testing Drop installation Grounding/bonding Ladder safety Equipment and meter usage Work-order completion Photo/documentation requirements Quality-control procedures Empire OS job-management procedures Do not apply if you are unwilling or unable to complete the required training.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Service Technicians will perform Optimum telecommunications work at homes and businesses throughout the Bronx and surrounding assigned service areas.
Responsibilities may include:
Installing Optimum coax and fiber internet services Installing and replacing RG6 coaxial cable Running interior and exterior cable drops Installing fiber drops when assigned Installing modems, routers, gateways, and related equipment Connecting and configuring customer devices Testing signal levels Troubleshooting internet, Wi-Fi, coax, and fiber issues Diagnosing poor signal and service problems Replacing defective equipment Installing connectors, splitters, fittings, and related components Working from ladders when required Entering crawl spaces, basements, utility areas, and other installation locations Communicating professionally with customers Explaining service and Wi-Fi functionality to customers Completing required photographs and documentation Updating job status through Paramount Empire OS Maintaining company/client quality and productivity standards Protecting customer and company property Keeping assigned tools, equipment, meters, and materials accounted for
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
This is a production environment. Technicians are expected to maintain acceptable: Jobs completed per day On-time arrival percentage Completion percentage Repeat-service rate Quality-control score Customer-service performance Documentation compliance Attendance Equipment accountability Safety compliance Simply showing up is not sufficient. Technicians must consistently produce completed, quality work.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred candidates should have experience with one or more of the following: Optimum / Altice Spectrum Comcast / Xfinity Verizon Cable television installation Fiber installation Coax installation Broadband installation Telecommunications field service Low-voltage installation Residential internet installation Experienced technicians are strongly preferred.
Candidates should also be:
Reliable Coachable Comfortable working independently Comfortable interacting with customers Able to follow strict installation specifications Able to use mobile applications and job-management software Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Physically capable of performing field installation work Comfortable carrying and using ladders when required
TOOLS / EQUIPMENT
Technicians may be required to maintain certain personal hand tools and job-related equipment depending on their employment or contractor arrangement. Specific tool, vehicle, meter, equipment, and material requirements will be explained before onboarding.
SCHEDULE
Candidates must have strong availability, including the ability to work production schedules based on client demand. This is not a position for someone looking to complete only one or two jobs and go home. We are looking for technicians who want to produce, learn the system, maintain strong metrics, and earn based on performance.

This is NOT advertised as a guaranteed hourly wage position.
Compensation varies based on:
Type of work order Number of completed jobs Applicable rate Quality approval Work successfully passing client/company requirements Higher-producing technicians have greater earning potential because compensation is directly tied to completed production. Exact rates and the applicable compensation agreement will be reviewed during onboarding.
