Overview M&P Engineering and Land Surveying, PLLC Is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. We are a growing firm, providing high-quality surveying services to public and private clients. We are seeking a dependable and motivated Surveying Laborer / Field Technician to join our land surveying team. This position is an entry-level opportunity to learn the fundamentals of land surveying while working outdoors alongside experienced surveyors and field crews. The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-conscious, comfortable working outside in a variety of conditions, and willing to learn. Previous surveying or construction experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. Requirements Assist the survey crew with daily field operations and projects. Set up and operate surveying equipment under the direction of the Party Chief. Assist with all aspects of completing a survey project, including some office time as well. Carry, load, unload, and maintain surveying equipment and supplies. Drive company vehicles to and from project sites as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for company equipment. Follow all company safety procedures and applicable regulations. Work effectively as part of a two- or three-person survey crew. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the office/work locations. Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions. Ability to walk over uneven, wooded, and sometimes difficult terrain. Ability to lift and carry surveying equipment and materials. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability. Good communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and willingness to learn. Previous experience in land surveying, construction, engineering, landscaping, or a related field is a plus, but not required. Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
