Security Technician Location:

Start Date:
ASAP Position Overview Tek One Solutions is seeking experienced ESS Low Voltage / Security Technicians for long-term electronic security projects in the Summerville/Ridgeville and St. George, South Carolina areas. Technicians will support the installation of CCTV surveillance and access control systems within large commercial facilities. Opportunities are available for technicians ranging from entry-level cable installers through experienced Level 3 security technicians. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential for long-term employment based on performance, attendance, and project needs. Responsibilities Install interior and exterior security cameras Install commercial access control devices Install and connect: Card readers Electric door strikes Door hardware and related field devices Pull, route, dress, secure, and organize low-voltage cabling Perform device terminations and final connections Assist with access control panel installation and wiring Perform panel wiring based on experience level Follow project drawings, device schedules, and installation standards Maintain clean and professional cable management Test installed devices and identify installation issues Follow all site safety and security procedures Coordinate with project leadership and other field technicians Technician Levels Level 1
  • Cable Puller / Junior Technician Ideal candidates will have foundational low-voltage experience and be comfortable with: Pulling and routing cable Cable dressing and pathway work Basic device installation Using standard low-voltage hand tools Working safely from ladders and lifts Level 2
  • Low Voltage / Security Technician Candidates should have hands-on experience with: CCTV camera installation Access control device installation Card readers and electric strikes Cable termination and testing Reading basic drawings and device layouts Working independently on assigned installation tasks Level 3
  • Experienced Security Technician Level 3 candidates should have strong commercial electronic security experience, including: Interior and exterior CCTV systems Access control hardware Device termination and troubleshooting Access control panel wiring Reading drawings and wiring diagrams Testing and verifying installed systems Independently completing complex field installations Level 3 candidates must demonstrate the experience appropriate for a senior field technician.
Qualifications Previous commercial low-voltage, security, CCTV, or access control experience Experience appropriate to the technician level being considered Familiarity with security cameras and access control devices Strong cable dressing and installation practices Panel wiring experience is highly preferred Ability to read and follow drawings and installation instructions Strong reliability and attendance Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Reliable transportation between project locations as required Required Certifications Technicians must have or be able to obtain: OSHA 10 Lift / Aerial Work Platform Certification Tools & PPE Technicians must have: Standard low-voltage hand tools Required PPE Work boots and appropriate jobsite attire Additional project-specific equipment requirements will be reviewed during onboarding.
