Based on Experience Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to support ongoing work at a data center project in Abernathy, TX. This position is responsible for pulling cable, terminating wiring, installing electrical and instrumentation equipment, and assisting with the startup and commissioning of systems. Candidates must have experience working in an industrial or commercial electrical environment and be able to work safely while maintaining high-quality standards. Responsibilities Pull, route, label, and secure electrical and control cables. Terminate low-voltage, control, and power wiring according to specifications. Install, configure, test, and commission electrical and instrumentation equipment. Install and connect sensors, transmitters, controllers, motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and control systems. Assist with installation of electrical systems, control panels, conduits, cable trays, and associated wiring. Perform troubleshooting and testing of electrical and instrumentation systems. Ensure proper integration of instrumentation and electrical components into facility operations. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Maintain compliance with all site safety requirements and company policies. Assist with startup activities, inspections, and commissioning procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Requirements OSHA 10 Certification required. Experience pulling and terminating electrical, control, and instrumentation cables. Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, VFDs, control panels, and instrumentation devices. Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics. Familiarity with data center, industrial, commercial, or construction environments preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions. Must be able to work extended hours as project needs require.
Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
