Plano, TX Job Details Temporary | Contract From $25 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Paid training Tools provided Qualifications English Attention to detail Hand tools Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking entry-level to experienced Data Cabling / Low-Voltage Technicians to assist with commercial structured cabling projects on a temporary, 1099 basis. This role is hands-on and field-based, supporting the installation of low-voltage cabling systems in commercial construction environments. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in structured cabling as well as experienced technicians seeking project-based work. Responsibilities Pull, route, and secure Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A data cabling Install J-hooks, cable tray, and cable support systems Terminate or assist with terminating keystone jacks and patch panels Label and organize cabling to industry standards Use basic hand tools to support installation activities Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites Follow safety procedures and job-site rules at all times Read and interpret schematics and floor plans Follow safety protocols and industry standards during all installation and repair activities Skills & Qualifications Entry-level to experienced candidates welcome Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Proficiency with hand tools used in wiring, termination, and equipment installation Ability to use basic hand tools (drill, punchdown, cutters, etc.) Comfortable working on ladders and overhead Able to lift up to 50 lbs Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Reliable transportation to commercial job sites Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus Prior structured cabling or construction experience preferred but not required This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical expertise in commercial low-voltage systems. Candidates should be dependable team players capable of working independently while adhering to safety standards. Additional Information Commercial construction projects only Temporary, project-based work Full-time hours while projects are active (typically 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
