Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cable and Satellite Internet Installer and become a vital part of connecting homes and businesses to high-speed internet services! In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining telecommunications infrastructure that keeps people connected. Your expertise will help deliver reliable internet, cable, and satellite services directly to customers' residences and commercial properties. This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, utilize a variety of hand and power tools, and develop specialized skills in fiber splicing, network installation, and equipment testing. Duties Install, configure, and troubleshoot residential and commercial telecommunications systems including cable TV, internet, satellite dishes, and related equipment. Use ladders safely to access rooftops or elevated locations for satellite dish installation and cable routing. Operate company vehicles responsibly while transporting tools, equipment, and materials to job sites. Perform fiber splicing and telecommunications network cable installation to ensure optimal signal quality. Use wire crimpers, wire strippers, Ohmmeters, and other hand tools to prepare cables for connection and testing. Conduct equipment testing to verify proper operation of network components such as Cisco routers, Ethernet connections, and telephony systems. Provide excellent customer service by explaining system features, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction during installations. Follow safety protocols during outdoor work environments involving electrical work, power tools, and outdoor conditions. Document all installation activities accurately in service records and complete shift reports promptly. Qualifications Proven experience working as a telecommunications infrastructure technician or in field service roles involving network installation. Knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet wiring, Cisco routers, telephony systems, and fiber splicing techniques. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, power tools, and electrical testers. Ability to operate ladders safely and comfortably perform outdoor work in various weather conditions. Experience with satellite dish installation and telecommunications network cable installation preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating company vehicles required. Electrical work experience or relevant certifications is a plus but not mandatory.
