Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structured Cabling Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining comprehensive structured cabling systems that support telecommunications, data transfer, and network connectivity across various facilities. Your expertise will ensure reliable communication infrastructure by executing precise cable routing, termination, and troubleshooting of complex cabling networks. Duties Install and configure structured cabling systems including Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic cables, and low-voltage electrical wiring for commercial and industrial environments Terminate cables accurately using hand tools and ensure proper connection to networking equipment such as Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and telecommunication hardware Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and installation manuals to execute precise cable routing and system layouts Perform fiber splicing and fiber optic systems installation to establish high-speed data connections with minimal signal loss Conduct network testing using telecommunications testing equipment, diagnostic tools, Ohmmeters, RF testers, and other specialized instruments to verify system integrity Troubleshoot equipment issues related to Ethernet networks, VoIP telephony systems like Avaya or similar platforms, and telecommunication systems to ensure optimal performance Maintain safety standards by properly handling power tools, hand tools, and electrical components while adhering to electrical codes such as AC/DC systems Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about system status, project timelines, and post-installation support Experience Proven experience in structured cabling installation within commercial or industrial settings Hands-on knowledge of telecommunications systems including LAN (Local Area Network), telephony (VoIP), CCTV security systems, and radio frequency (RF) testing Familiarity with fiber splicing techniques and fiber optic system installation procedures Ability to interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and network wiring layouts accurately Experience working with Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, Avaya telephony platforms, and computer networking fundamentals Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as Ohmmeters, network testers, cable testers, and telecommunications testing equipment Knowledge of low-voltage electrical wiring practices for telecommunications and data infrastructure projects Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach when interacting with clients during installations or service calls Join us if you're eager to build reliable communication networks while advancing your technical expertise!
