Role Overview Andrade's Clean Up is seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet Mechanic to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. This on-site role is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing the company's fleet of trucks, trailers, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in preventative maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting. This position plays a vital role in minimizing downtime and supporting the success of daily field operations. What You'll Do You'll be the frontline defense against downtime—maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing the vehicles and equipment that keep Andrade's delivering on its promises.

You will:

Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment. Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engine issues. Service and repair brake systems, suspension components, steering systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Conduct inspections to identify maintenance and safety concerns. Perform oil changes, fluid replacements, filter changes, and scheduled maintenance services. Maintain accurate repair records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs. Troubleshoot equipment failures and provide timely repair solutions. Coordinate with the Fleet/Asset Manager regarding maintenance priorities and repair recommendations. Order, track, and manage parts inventory as needed. Assist with welding and fabrication projects when required. Ensure compliance with company safety standards and DOT regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment. Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a Fleet Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, suspension, and braking systems. Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair documentation. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. CDL Class A Valid driver's license required Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in indoor and outdoor environments.
