We work primarily on Freightliner, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Paccar, Volvo, Mack, and International trucks using OEM diagnostic software. We are looking for an experienced Diesel Diagnostic Technician who enjoys solving difficult problems—not just replacing parts. If you are the technician other mechanics come to for help diagnosing electrical, engine, or emissions issues, we'd like to talk with you. This is NOT an entry-level mechanic position. We are seeking someone capable of independently diagnosing and repairing complex Class 8 truck systems. Key Responsibilities & Duties Diagnose complex engine, electrical, drivability, and aftertreatment issues on heavy-duty trucks. Diagnose and repair Freightliner, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Paccar, Volvo, Mack, and International platforms. Perform advanced troubleshooting using OEM diagnostic software. Diagnose DEF, DPF, SCR, EGR, turbocharger, fuel, air, cooling, and electrical systems. Diagnose CAN Bus communication faults and multiplex electrical systems. Read and interpret OEM wiring diagrams and service information. Perform voltage drop testing, circuit testing, and electrical troubleshooting. Repair wiring harnesses, sensors, actuators, modules, and control systems. Perform engine repairs, component replacements, and major repairs as needed. Perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and fleet repairs when required. Verify repairs through road testing and system validation. Document diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and recommendations accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaborate with service advisors and customers by providing clear diagnostic findings and repair recommendations. Other Duties as assigned.

diagnostics CAN Bus communication faults Electrical wiring repairs Air brake systems HVAC electrical systems Charging and starting systems Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who can confidently diagnose: No-start conditions Check engine lights Intermittent electrical faults DEF derates SCR efficiency faults Communication (CAN Bus) faults Turbocharger issues Cooling system problems Air system leaks Drivability concerns The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and takes pride in fixing problems correctly the first time.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on Diesel Engine Repair experience. 2+ years experience as a diesel technician or mechanic.
Education:
GED or High School Diploma required.
Vocational Training Certifications:
ASE Certification preferred but not required.
Technical Skills:
Proficient with computers and able to adapt to new technologies. Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, modern diagnostic tools.
Language Skills:
Must be proficient in English; bilingual candidates with Spanish fluency are highly preferred.
Work Ethic:
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, proactiveness, and a commitment to safety and quality.
