This role focuses on high-turnaround preventive maintenance such as oil and fluid changes, lubrication of components, safety inspections, and minor mechanical repairs to ensure fleet reliability and longevity. This position will allow you to work in an environment where your skills will continuously developed. Responsibilities Perform oil changes, replace fuel and air filters, and properly dispose of waste fluids. Check, top off, and monitor all vehicle fluids, including coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid. Lubricate chassis points, joints, and other moving components according to manufacturer specifications. Conduct comprehensive multi-point safety inspections, checking tire pressure, tread wear, brake pads, battery health, and lights. Identify, document, and report any signs of irregular wear, fluid leaks, or structural issues to senior fleet mechanics to prevent roadside breakdowns. Assist in maintaining shop cleanliness, managing bulk oil inventory, and safely disposing of used fluids and hazardous materials. Perform mandatory BIT inspections and maintain organized records. Assists with other shop maintenance and operational tasks as required. Remains flexible and willing to support fellow technicians and shop staff on various projects.
PHYSICAL TRAITS
Must be able to work in shop environment and in all weather conditions. Moderate walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside around moving objects, trucks, and machinery with moving parts. Exposure to dampness and humidity, toxic chemicals, exhaust fumes, gasoline and diesel fuel.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 1 year experience tractor trailer lube tech Knowledge of truck and trailer parts and repair processes Knowledge of truck and trailer parts and repair processes Strong communication skills Strong record keeping, writing, and computer skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) Team player Class A License is a plus
