$22-38.38/hr\nStarting pay will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and other job related factors, in accordance with Connecticut pay transparency requirements.\n

\nFull-time, 8 hour shifts.\nSchedules vary by location and business needs. Responsibilities:

\nPerform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on school buses and other fleet vehicles.\nDiagnose and repair mechanical, diesel, electrical, and drivability issues.\nInspect, service, and repair brake systems, tires and wheels, steering, suspension, drivetrains, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel systems, exhaust systems, lighting, electrical systems, batteries, charging systems, doors, windows, body components, and HVAC systems.\nRespond to road calls and assist with mobile repairs when needed to keep routes running safely and on time.\nComplete repair orders, inspection documentation, parts usage records, and other required paperwork accurately and promptly.\nCommunicate repair needs, safety concerns, and vehicle status to the shop foreman or supervisor.\nMaintain proper hand tools and use shop equipment safely and responsibly.\nFollow all safety procedures, shop standards, manufacturer guidelines, and supervisor direction.\n

Requirements:

Education:

\nHigh school diploma, technical school or equivalent.\nLicense +

Certifications:

\nValid driver's license.\nCDL license or willingness/eligibility to obtain one preferred.\nASE certifications or willingness to work toward ASE certifications preferred.\n

Experience:

\nMinimum of one year of experience within automotive, truck, diesel, or bus repair.\nMust have your own set of tools and equipment.\nAbility to understand, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.\n

Skills:

\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nTeam focused attitude with pride in doing quality work that supports student safety.\n

Physical Demands:
