Job Description

We are seeking an experienced diesel technician to join our team. We are looking for a self-motivated technician who can diagnose, repair, and maintain medium to heavy-duty trucks and industrial trailers with minimal supervision. If you enjoy solving difficult mechanical and electrical problems rather than simply replacing parts, we'd like to meet you. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines from manufacturers including Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Paccar, Ford, and Caterpillar. Perform advanced diagnostics on engine management, aftertreatment, and emissions systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including multiplex wiring, CAN bus networks, sensors, charging systems, and starting systems. Diagnose and repair manual and automatic transmissions. Perform complete engine removals and replacements. Perform complete transmission removals and replacements. Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems used on tow trucks, wreckers, rollbacks, and heavy recovery equipment. Repair air brake systems, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and driveline components. Perform preventative maintenance inspections. Utilize OEM diagnostic software and scan tools. Accurately document repairs and communicate findings with management. QualificationsRequired Minimum 5 years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities Experience replacing complete engines and transmissions Electrical diagnostic experience Hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience Ability to work independently Valid driver's license Own professional hand tools Preferred CDL Class A License ASE Certifications Cummins, Detroit, Allison, Paccar certifications Experience on heavy-duty towing and recovery equipment Welding and fabrication experience Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who: Thinks like a diagnostician instead of a parts changer. Takes pride in quality workmanship. Can efficiently identify the root cause of difficult problems. Works well independently and as part of a team.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
