Pay:
$85-90K per YEAR (Based on Experience)

National Travel Required (2-3 trips per month) Build a Career with Industry-Leading Equipment We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Service Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain specialized vacuum truck and sewer maintenance equipment. This is not a standard diesel mechanic position. We are looking for an experienced technician with advanced electrical, hydraulic, and diagnostic skills who enjoys solving complex problems and providing exceptional customer service. Position Summary The Senior Field Service Technician serves as the technical expert responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all models of Vac-Con and Vector equipment. This position requires advanced knowledge of electrical systems, CAN Bus diagnostics, hydraulics, and mechanical repair while delivering outstanding customer service. The technician works independently with minimal supervision, completes accurate documentation, communicates repair recommendations clearly, and may assist with equipment assembly and limited service operations as business needs require. Essential Responsibilities Diagnose operational/electrical deficiencies on all models of Vac-Con and Vector equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and water systems. Perform advanced diagnostics on Controller Area Network (CAN Bus) systems, multiplex electrical systems, and electronic control modules. Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals. Utilize digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, scan tools, and diagnostic software to isolate electrical and communication faults. Repair wiring harnesses, sensors, controllers, switches, relays, and multiplex components. Identify required parts, materials, and supplies necessary to complete repairs safely and efficiently. Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and complete equipment repairs. Operate Vac-Con and Vector equipment to verify repairs and confirm proper functionality. Complete service work orders, inspection reports, and electronic documentation accurately and on time. Communicate technical findings and repair recommendations clearly with customers and internal teams. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Travel nationally approximately 2-3 times per month to support customer equipment and field service operations. Support equipment assembly and special projects as needed. Preferred Experience Experience with one or more of the following: CAN Bus diagnostics Multiplex electrical systems Hydraulic troubleshooting Vacuum trucks Sewer maintenance equipment Construction equipment Utility equipment Mobile equipment diagnostics Preferred Certification

Certification (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and water systems. Strong understanding of CAN Bus communication protocols and multiplex architecture. Ability to interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, wiring prints, and service manuals. Proficient with digital diagnostic equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and scan tools. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service mindset. Ability to prioritize multiple repairs while maintaining quality workmanship. Willingness to travel as needed.
