R&R Diesel Repair and Towing LLC is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic and/or Rollback Tow Truck Driver to join our Ashburn team. This is not a Monday-Friday, 8-5-only position. Our line of work is unpredictable, and nights, weekends, and holidays are part of the job when you are scheduled to be on call. If you understand the diesel mechanic/towing world and can be dependable when it's your turn, you may be a great fit.

Location Requirement:

Because this position includes an on-call schedule, you must live in Turner County or within roughly 10 minutes of Turner County and be able to respond to the Ashburn area within 20-30 minutes while on call. Please do not apply if you live too far away to meet the required response time. Schedule & On-Call Requirements This position requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule. You must be willing and able to: Work nights, weekends and holidays when scheduled Answer your phone and respond promptly while on call Arrive in the Ashburn area within the required response time Handle an unpredictable workload when necessary You will not be on call 24/7 . On-call responsibilities rotate, but when it is your turn, we need someone dependable. Pay & Compensation Structure Pay is based on experience. Hourly pay, Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM. After-hours & weekends: Commission-based pay. If you have towing experience, diesel/mechanical experience, or both, your earning potential is higher. Required Qualifications Valid driver's license Acceptable driving record Previous rollback/towing experience strongly preferred Must be comfortable loading and securing vehicles Must live in or very close to Turner County Reliable transportation Reliable cell phone and reachable while on call Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently and make good decisions Strong customer service skills Ability to remain professional and calm in stressful situations Safety-conscious, especially around highways and traffic Physically able to perform job duties (chains, straps, outdoor work, etc.) Able to work outdoors in heat, cold, and rain Must meet company and insurance driving requirements Must pass background/MVR review and pre-employment drug screening Experience That Will Put You at the Top of Our List (Not required, but highly preferred) Rollback towing experience Diesel mechanic or diesel truck repair experience Heavy-duty towing or recovery experience Roadside assistance experience CDL Air brake knowledge Equipment transport experience Previous on-call towing experience Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability Someone with both towing experience and diesel/mechanical experience would be an excellent fit. What We're Looking For Above all else: dependability. When you're on call and a customer is stranded at 2:00 AM, we need someone who will answer the phone and show up. We want someone who takes pride in their work, takes care of company equipment, treats customers well, and works well with our team. We're a smaller local company, so we need a team player. When you're not running calls, we need someone willing to help around the shop — not someone with a "that's not my job" attitude.
