Tractor Technician Job Description Indian River Transport's vision is to be the best liquid food grade tank carrier in North America. We currently have an excellent career opportunity for an experienced tractor technician / "B" tech at our Cordele GA terminal. Assigned shift to be discussed. The Tractor Technician furnishes quality service to major and minor in-house repairs to the fleet in a timely and efficient manner while complying with Indian River Transport policy and procedure.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair all aspects of Peterbilt tractors Keep a clean and organized work area Continue to keep up to date on tractor repair procedures Diagnose and repair Hydraulic problem Charge out parts as needed Tag parts for warranty and cores as needed Write repair stories for warranty and all other repairs

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years experience on diesel semi-tractor maintenance and diagnostics and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. DOT certified in FHWA Inspections & Air Brakes. (Preferred). Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have basic computer skills and/or comfortable working with a computer. Must have proper tools.
