In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and machinery. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of construction machinery, industrial equipment, and fleet vehicles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to keep operations running smoothly. Schedule Options Work 4 ten hour days, Wednesday - Saturday Work 5 eight hour days, Tuesday - Saturday Overtime is regularly available, not required Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and air brake systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, bulldozers, loaders, and farm machinery to ensure they meet safety and operational standards. Fabricate parts or modify existing components through welding or hand tool use to optimize equipment performance. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues related to suspension, hydraulics, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and powertrain components. Conduct preventive maintenance routines including tire service, alignment checks, brake repairs, and equipment inspections to minimize downtime. Assist in assembly, disassembly, and reassembly of construction machinery during repairs or upgrades. Maintain detailed service records and follow OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications for all repairs and maintenance activities. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred. 1 - 2 years. Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and construction machinery maintenance. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, schematics reading, and equipment troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering. Ability to use power tools, hand tools, diagnostic scanners, and other specialized equipment effectively. Familiarity with heavy equipment servicing including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers , and industrial machinery. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various work environments.
