Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Experienced Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of heavy equipment, farm machinery, and automotive systems. Your expertise will ensure our equipment operates efficiently and safely, supporting our customers' agricultural needs with precision and professionalism. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension, and electrical systems across various heavy equipment and vehicles. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignment, and component replacements to maximize equipment lifespan. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, hand tools, power tools, and schematics to meet specific operational requirements. Repair and maintain farm machinery such as tractors and excavators, as well as industrial equipment like cranes and forklifts. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using detailed schematics and technical manuals; ensure repairs meet safety standards. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform welding or soldering as needed for equipment assembly or repair projects. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring work is completed efficiently. Qualifications Proven experience working as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician within a dealership or industrial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy trucks, farm machinery, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and related systems. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, electrical system repair, hydraulics, suspension alignment, and HVAC systems. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, schematics interpretation, and other maintenance tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment such as tractors or excavators confidently. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures including brake repair, shocks & struts replacement, tire service, and powertrain repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude; strong communication skills are a plus.
