Description Pay:
$30.00•$35.00 per hour
DOE Schedule:
Monday•Friday | 7:00 AM•4:30 PM We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced diagnostic and repair abilities, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities:
Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and aftertreatment systems. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and services on heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Diagnose and repair engine performance issues using diagnostic software and specialized tools. Repair and replace components including brakes, suspension systems, steering systems, HVAC systems, and fuel systems. Complete accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company safety standards. Mentor and assist junior technicians as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with service advisors, management, and customers regarding repair recommendations and vehicle status.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of diesel repair experience; Master Technician-level experience preferred. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment. ASE certifications preferred; Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician certification strongly preferred. Experience with diagnostic software and computerized troubleshooting systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair procedures. Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or ability to obtain one. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in a shop environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
