Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment including tractors, implements, skid steers and excavators. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems across various heavy equipment and vehicles. Conduct routine maintenance. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues accurately. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, skidsteers, and forklifts testing and repair purposes. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed; ensure timely completion of work orders. Assist with equipment assembly, disassembly, and preventive maintenance to maximize operational uptime. Requirements Proven experience working as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic in a dealership or heavy equipment environment. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical systems. Hands-on experience with diagnostics tools and schematics reading. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm or industrial equipment safely and efficiently. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other fabrication tools. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues quickly. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions; willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Pay:
From $35.00 per hour
