Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive knowledge and mechanical skills, enabling them to provide excellent service while safely transporting vehicles. This role requires a commitment to customer satisfaction and the ability to handle various towing situations with professionalism and efficiency. Duties Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow vehicles, to transport disabled or improperly parked vehicles. Conduct automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle conditions before towing. Load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring no damage occurs during the process. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with vehicle owners and addressing their concerns. Utilize conflict management skills to resolve any disputes or issues that may arise during towing operations. Perform routine maintenance on tow trucks and related equipment, ensuring they remain in good working condition. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by assisting with minor automotive repairs when necessary. Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including vehicle details and customer interactions. Qualifications Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is preferred; experience with manual transmission is a plus. Proven experience in automotive repair or mechanic roles is highly desirable. Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems. Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery as needed for vehicle recovery. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Strong conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations with customers effectively. Previous experience in customer service roles is beneficial, showcasing the ability to interact positively with clients. Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.
