Experienced Diesel Technician / Diesel Mechanic - Union Local 701 Al Piemonte Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram | Crystal Lake, IL Full-Time | Annual Earnings from $80,000 Al Piemonte Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is looking for an experienced Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our busy Service Department in Crystal Lake. We're looking for a skilled technician who knows their way around diesel engines, takes pride in accurate diagnostics and quality repairs, and wants to work in a shop with consistent opportunity. This is a Union Local 701 position offering the stability, benefits, and protections that come with union membership, along with the opportunity to build a long-term career within a busy dealership. CDJR, Ram, or Cummins diesel experience is a major plus! What You'll Be Doing Diagnose, service, and repair diesel-powered vehicles Perform engine, fuel system, emissions, electrical, drivetrain, and related repairs Diagnose check-engine lights, drivability concerns, and electrical issues Perform routine maintenance and manufacturer-recommended services Complete inspections and accurately identify needed repairs Utilize diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and manufacturer resources Document findings and completed repairs accurately Work closely with Service Advisors and Parts personnel to keep repairs moving efficiently Complete work safely and according to manufacturer and dealership standards What We're Looking For Previous professional automotive or diesel technician experience required Strong diesel diagnostic and repair skills Ram/Cummins and CDJR experience strongly preferred Chrysler/Stellantis certifications are a plus ASE certifications are a plus Strong electrical and diagnostic abilities Ability to accurately diagnose concerns—not simply replace parts Valid driver's license and clean driving record Dependable, productive, and team-oriented Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction Why Al Piemonte CDJR?
