Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment. In this role, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to diagnose, troubleshoot, and service diesel engines and heavy machinery used across construction, agriculture, and industrial sectors. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, and HVAC system servicing to keep equipment in optimal condition. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on construction machinery, farm equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment utilizing hand tools and power tools. Fabricate parts or components as needed for repairs or modifications through welding and fabrication techniques. Utilize heavy equipment operation skills for testing repaired machinery to ensure proper function before returning it to service. Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and repair logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and OEM guidelines. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and offering maintenance recommendations for long-term equipment performance. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics including construction machinery maintenance, electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, hydraulics, suspension systems, and powertrain repairs. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for troubleshooting electrical systems, transmissions, HVAC units, and other complex components. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting safety procedures. Experience working with OEM parts and understanding of factory specifications for diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with construction equipment servicing such as excavators, cranes, tractors-trailers, forklifts, and farm machinery is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues efficiently. Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and providing exceptional customer service when needed.
