Mobile Diesel Technician Truck Country - 3.3 Hampshire, IL Job Details Full-time From $23 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Flexible schedule Qualifications Computer operation Microsoft Outlook Word processing In-person customer service High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description The Mobile Technician is responsible for repairing customer equipment off site in a timely and efficient manor to maximize uptime for the customer. This allows the Truck Service Department to achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Essential Functions (not in order of priority): Repair and maintain customer equipment using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machine tools Diagnose, troubleshoot and examine parts for defects and excessive wear Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits utilizing computer-based software diagnostic programs and printed wiring schematics Recondition, repair and/or replace parts Perform routine maintenance checks including inspecting brake system, wheel bearings, electrical system, and air systems Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair engine/driveline/ABS related issues utilizing sound mechanical knowledge and computer based diagnostic programs Ability to set up and use common cutting, welding, and metal fabrication tooling and equipment as needed to complete trailer repairs Perform other related duties as required and assigned Maintain regular on-site attendance
Work Environment:
This position operates in an office setting within the shop and requires frequent movement throughout the service departments and occasionally in an inbound lane This position will also operate while on the road at customer or repair locations
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time Frequent use of keyboard, mouse or laptop Climbing in and out of vehicles (3 to 4 feet in height) Occasional stooping and bending Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25lbs Normal range of hearing and vision
Education, Skills and Knowledge Required:
High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree or higher preferred. Minimum 2 years of retail Truck Service Customer Relations and or Customer Service. Minimum 2 years' Heavy-Duty Truck Equipment and/or Body Shop Technician Valid driver's license with good standing MVR Previous experience working in a Service Truck is preferred Experience with Procede or other Heavy-Duty Truck DMS Highly effective verbal and written communications Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor AA degree, technical school degree, or 1 years of related experience preferred Computer skills to include
Outlook, Word, Excel, & Repair Order Processing Pay:
From $23.00 per hour
