Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment. Your expertise will ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently, supporting our commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and equipment inspections to prevent future issues. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure proper fit and function. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently during repair or testing procedures. Troubleshoot complex mechanical systems on farm machinery, industrial equipment, and heavy trucks to identify root causes of malfunctions. Maintain detailed service records documenting repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostics conducted for each piece of equipment. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring work is completed promptly to minimize downtime. Qualifications Proven experience working as a Diesel Service Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes (including air brake systems), HVAC systems, and electrical components. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for automotive electrical systems and mechanical repairs. Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance tools such as hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and diagnostic scanners. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working on large machinery or vehicles. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately under time constraints. $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
