$23.00+ per hour (Based on Experience)

Schedule:

Full-Time | Night Shift Overview Commercial Transport is seeking an experienced Tractor Trailer / Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team on the night shift. This position is responsible for preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of Class A tractors and food-grade pneumatic tank trailers. Our fleet consists primarily of late-model Freightliner and Kenworth trucks maintained at our Beech Grove terminal. Schedule Options Monday-Friday:

3:30 PM -

Midnight Sunday-Thursday:

3:30 PM - Midnight Shift selection must be established before the start date and will begin upon completion of training. Compensation & Benefits Commercial Transport offers competitive pay and an excellent benefits package, including: Medical Insurance with Prescription Coverage Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) 401(k) with 4% Company Match Paid Holidays Paid Vacation Free Uniforms and Cleaning Service Direct Deposit Hourly Pay with Overtime Opportunities (Time-and-a-Half) Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance (PM) services on tractors and trailers Diagnose and repair electrical systems and air conditioning systems Conduct computer diagnostics and troubleshooting Diagnose and repair ABS systems Service brakes, suspension systems, and other mechanical components Mount and dismount tires Perform general maintenance and repair on Class A tractors and trailers Assist with engine diagnostics and repairs as needed Qualifications Required Minimum of 2 years of tractor and/or trailer repair experience Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience Must provide own tools Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Preferred CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Experience as a: Diesel Mechanic Heavy Equipment Mechanic Automotive Mechanic Trailer Mechanic Mobile Mechanic Welding Technician Skills & Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with diesel engines, trailer systems, and preventative maintenance programs Commitment to safety and quality workmanship If you have the skills and experience we're looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
