Overview Traxler Power & Equipment, Inc is growing our team. We are seeking 1-2 skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanics / Service Technicians to join us in our new building. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, with a focus on diesel engines. We work on a variety of brands and types of farm machinery, semi-trucks and trailers, and outdoor power equipment. Responsibilities Working on farming equipment, semi-trucks and trailers, outdoor power equipment, also combines and tracked vehicles Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing any defective parts Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work Use technical manuals for proper repair and service Diagnosing malfunctions or problems using a computerized system or testing equipment to determine the root cause of any issues Meeting with customers to explain problems and possible solutions Repair and maintenance of a/c and heating systems, hydraulics, exhaust, electrical, transmission systems Keep records of repairs and servicing Test the machines after repairs Request or order supplies, parts, maintain inventory Preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns. Qualifications Certification in diesel mechanics is preferred. Knowledge of farm equipment Proven experience as a diesel mechanic/ service technician. Experience in parts lookup and ordering a plus Welding experience is a plus Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. Excellent computer skills Lifting up to 70 pounds Must have valid driver's license with a clear driving record, CDL helpful. Able to stand and be physically active the majority of the work day.
