In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles, industrial equipment, and farm machinery. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our operations across various sectors. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components using schematics and specialized tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery. Troubleshoot and repair vehicle systems including air brakes, suspension, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and wheel alignments. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet operational needs. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repairs accurately for compliance and future reference. Assist with equipment assembly, tire service, heavy lifting tasks, and routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding repair status and recommendations. Requirements Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic or Auto Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and engine components. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex machinery issues. Hands-on experience with heavy truck repair, farm machinery maintenance, industrial equipment servicing, and automotive diagnostics. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently. Skilled in welding, fabrication techniques including soldering and assembly work using various power tools. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward maintenance and repairs. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety standards. Valid certifications related to diesel mechanics or automotive repair are highly desirable; familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
