Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and brake systems with precision and attention to detail Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and system inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic software to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues on heavy equipment like excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment Fabricate parts or modify components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and fabrication skills to meet repair specifications Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify wear or damage on heavy duty applications Requirements Proven experience working as a mechanic or service technician in a dealership or heavy equipment environment with strong familiarity in diesel diagnostics and repair procedures Extensive knowledge of diesel engine repair along with experience servicing transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, etc Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical systems Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering devices, and other fabrication tools necessary for equipment repair Ability to lift heavy components safely during maintenance tasks; heavy lifting experience preferred Valid experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts or farm machinery is highly desirable Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; customer service experience is a plus Certification or hands-on experience with Cummins, Autocar, Perkins, Deutz, Kubota or similar heavy equipment brands is advantageous Strong communication skills to relay important repair information to upper management and customers Knowledge of computer diagnostic software is required Join us if you're eager to leverage your technical skills in a vibrant environment that values quality workmanship and continuous learning.
