Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled or eager-to-learn Diesel Mechanic to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience in diesel engine repair, automotive diagnostics, and heavy equipment maintenance. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse machinery including industrial machinery, and commercial vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety across operations. The position requires a mechanical background, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, brake repairs, and wheel alignments. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, tractors, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical issues on various equipment types. Repair and maintain machinery and industrial equipment to ensure operational readiness. Assist in assembly and disassembly of mechanical components using hand tools and power tools. Conduct safety inspections to identify potential hazards or malfunctions in equipment or vehicles. Maintain records of repairs performed and parts used; ensure compliance with safety standards. Qualifications Experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Service Technician with strong knowledge of automotive repair principles. Proficiency with electrical systems, schematics interpretation, HVAC systems, hydraulic systems, and transmissions. Experience working with industrial equipment, excavators, tractor-trailers, and other heavy-duty vehicles. Mechanical knowledge combined with problem-solving skills. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic testing devices. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test Ability to lift heavy components safely; physically capable of performing demanding maintenance tasks. $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
