Job Description
Fleet Diesel Mechanic - Join the Truck 63 Team Truck 63 is seeking a skilled and motivated Fleet Diesel Mechanic to help maintain and repair our heavy-duty fleet vehicles. Located at 98 Railroad St, Utica, NY 13502 , Truck 63 is proud to be part of the Empire Recycling and ERL Intermodal family . In this role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs and preventative maintenance. Helping ensure our fleet operates at peak reliability, safety, and performance. We're looking for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to quality workmanship . The ideal candidate is comfortable working on heavy-duty trucks and trailers with experience in diesel engines, mechanical systems, electrical systems, emissions and HVAC systems . What We're Looking For Experience working on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or fleet equipment Diesel diagnostic and repair skills Ability to troubleshoot problems efficiently and accurately Commitment to safety and quality Reliable work ethic and attention to detail Ability to work independently while being a strong team player Proven experience as a fleet diesel mechanic preferred knowledge of mechanical, electrical, emissions and hydraulic systems Ability to multitask (repairs, maintenance, shop organization, etc.) Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills Strong attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to follow direction High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training or apprenticeship a plus) Valid NYS Driver's License required CDL is a plus NY State Inspection License and other certifications are a plus What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and skill level Opportunity for training and growth — willing to train the right candidate Supportive team environment Proffit Sharing Compensation/Hours Shifts available Monday through Friday 4:00AM-6:00PM.
