In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of construction machinery, industrial equipment, and fleet vehicles. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, and electrical systems using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and construction machinery to ensure operational efficiency. Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools. Service and repair industrial equipment, and vehicle fleets including tire service, brake repair, suspension adjustments, and alignment. Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics issues involving HVAC systems, electrical experience with heavy equipment mechanics, and automotive diagnostics to identify root causes accurately. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed; ensure compliance with safety standards and OEM specifications. Assist in heavy lifting tasks and perform welding or assembly work to support ongoing maintenance projects. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, air brakes, and HVAC systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and using diagnostic tools for electrical diagnostics and automotive repair. Hands-on experience with construction equipment servicing such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other heavy machinery. Ability to operate power tools safely; experience with welding and soldering is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation to effectively communicate repairs to clients or team members. Physical ability for heavy lifting; comfortable working in various outdoor conditions; willingness to perform routine maintenance tasks.
