In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of diesel-equipment, including trucks, industrial equipment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, and air brake system inspections to keep equipment in peak condition. Repair and replace mechanical systems including shocks & struts, shocks & struts, axles, steering components, and HVAC systems on various heavy machinery. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to assemble or repair equipment parts accurately. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely while adhering to all safety protocols. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues involving hydraulics, electrical systems, or engine performance. Assist with equipment maintenance programs by inspecting machinery for wear and tear, performing preventive repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Requirements Proven experience working as a Diesel Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic in an industrial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, vehicle systems, and heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; ability to use power tools effectively. Ability to lift heavy components safely during repairs; comfortable performing heavy lifting tasks regularly. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Valid certifications related to heavy truck repair, diesel mechanics, or industrial equipment are preferred but not mandatory; ongoing training encouraged.
