GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Work schedule will be provided by your foreman/ Supervisor on a day to day basis. You may be provided an over the road service truck in order access different pieces of equipment located throughout the mine sites. You may be working alone on some of these projects or with the help of other mechanics if the particular job requires it.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Perform general maintenance and repairs for all equipment on site and off site including mobile screening plants, Caterpillar and Komatsu heavy equipment. Wheel loaders, bulldozers, excavators and haul trucks. Must be able to work with and troubleshoot older equipment and well as newer equipment with computers and modern diagnostic software.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Education:

High school diploma or GED Vocational School degree College degree Military experience

Experience:

3+ years required

Other:

MSHA certification Medical card (Although not required)

KEY COMPETENCIES

Mechanical skills Computer Skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to access large heavy equipment, operate hand tools and pneumatic tools as well as lift heavy replacement components.
