Experienced Heavy Truck Mechanic (Full-Time)

Malvern, PA Macadam Company is an established Asphalt Maintenance Contractor seeking an experienced Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, motivated mechanic who takes pride in their work and can work independently while maintaining our fleet of heavy trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. This is a full-time, year-round position for an experienced mechanic who understands the demands of the construction industry. We are looking for someone who is willing to work hard, pay attention to detail, and do whatever it takes to keep our equipment operating safely and efficiently. Work Schedule Monday through Friday Regular shift: 8:00 AM — 6:00 PM Applicants must be available to regularly work past 6:00 PM as business needs require. Willingness to perform road calls into the evening hours when necessary. Weekend availability may occasionally be required. Regular overtime opportunities are available.

Minimum Qualifications Applicants must:

Have a minimum of three (3) years of experience working as a Heavy Truck Mechanic on heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Beat least 21 years of age due to insurance requirements. Have reliable transportation to and from work. Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Possess their own comprehensive set of mechanic tools up to and including 1/2" drive. Be willing to work overtime and perform emergency road calls into the evening hours when required. Preferred Qualifications CDL License (Preferred but not required.) Experience using PTT, TEXA, or related diagnostic software. Experience performing DOT inspections and repairs. Experience working on Volvo trucks is a plus. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Experience Required Applicants should have experience working on: Heavy-duty diesel trucks Diesel engines Air brake systems Electrical diagnostics and repairs Hydraulic systems Preventative maintenance programs Steering, suspension, and drivetrain repairs Trailer repairs and maintenance Construction equipment, maintenance and repairs DOT inspections and compliance repairs What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will: Be dependable and punctual. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Be willing to assist with emergency repairs when necessary. Have the ability to prioritize work and minimize equipment downtime. Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Be willing to do what it takes to keep our crews working safely and productively.
