Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity of machinery used across construction sites, industrial facilities, and transportation operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced equipment, utilize your mechanical skills, and contribute to the seamless operation of our fleet and machinery. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, and suspension components using OEM schematics and electronic diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, construction machinery, farm machinery, and tractor-trailers. Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently by interpreting schematics and troubleshooting guides to identify root causes. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on construction machinery and industrial equipment to minimize downtime. Assist with equipment assembly, tire service, brake repair, alignment checks, HVAC systems, electrical diagnostics, soldering tasks, heavy lifting operations, and welding projects as needed. Safe use and accountability of hand and power tools. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment service background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, suspension systems, and HVAC components. Skilled in using OEM schematics, electrical diagnostics tools, automotive diagnostics software, and hand/power tools for repairs. Experience working with construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts (including power tools), farm machinery (tractors), industrial equipment or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Ability to perform welding and fabrication tasks is a plus Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on equipment repair and maintenance; customer service orientation is a plus. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely; valid certifications in relevant areas are advantageous. Must pass background check. Must pass pre-employment drug screen. Must have valid drivers license with good driving record. CDL is a plus. Must be self motivated and be able to manage your time efficiently. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme heat/cold as needed. Strong problem solving skills are a plus. Join us in maintaining top-tier machinery that keeps our operations running smoothly! Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
