We are looking for a skilled Diesel Technician to maintain and repair garbage trucks and roll-off trucks . The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with heavy-duty diesel equipment and hydraulic systems and takes pride in keeping a fleet safe, reliable, and road-ready. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on garbage trucks and roll-off trucks Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and powertrains Repair and maintain refuse bodies, hoists, compactors, and roll-off systems Perform inspections and identify safety or mechanical issues Complete repairs efficiently to minimize downtime Maintain accurate service and repair records Follow all safety procedures and DOT regulations Communicate clearly with supervisors and fleet management Qualifications 1 -2+ years of diesel mechanic experience (refuse or heavy-duty fleet experience preferred) Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brakes Ability to diagnose and repair garbage trucks and roll-off equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Willing to learn new skills Pay & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Overtime available Paid time off and holidays Stable, year-round work
