Technician II (Diesel Mechanic) Bryan / College Station, TX | Full-Time (2nd shift - Monday to Friday 1pm-11:30pm) Overview Bronwick is working with the client to hire a Technician II (Diesel Mechanic) in the Bryan / College Station area to support fleet maintenance and repair operations for Class 8 trucks and heavy equipment . This role is ideal for a technician with preventive maintenance experience who wants to grow their diagnostic and repair skills while working with an experienced maintenance team.
What You'll Do:
Perform preventive maintenance on Class 8 trucks and fleet equipment Inspect vehicles and identify faults during inspections Replace failed components such as - brakes, sensors, starters, alternators, hydraulic cylinders Assist with repairs involving - turbos, EGR systems, air compressors, fuel systems differentials Use diagnostic software and hydraulic gauges for troubleshooting Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation Assist in training Technician I employees Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety regulations
What We're Looking For:
1+ year preventive maintenance experience on heavy trucks or diesel equipment OR technical training in diesel maintenance Mechanical aptitude and basic diagnostic ability Must provide your own tools Ability to work safely in a fast-paced shop environment Basic computer skills for service documentation
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Class
B CDL ASE
certification, or ability to obtain Formal preventive maintenance training Safe driving for the last five years
Required Licenses:
Valid Class C driver's license Safe driving record for the past three years State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 90 days

If so, how many years of experience? Do you have at least one year of verifiable preventative maintenance experience or technical degree with demonstrated knowledge of maintenance on class 8 vehicles or DOT Inspector License (per 49 CFR - Part 396.19)? Do you possess your own tools or are willing to buy them? This position is for the 2nd shift, which is Monday to Friday from 12:00pm-9:00pm. Will that work for you?
