Position Overview Looking for steady, reliable wrenching work with plenty of guaranteed hours? We are seeking a dependable, skilled Mechanic to join our team for a stable Monday through Friday evening shift. If you take pride in doing the job right, keeping fleet equipment running safely, and getting your hands dirty without having to give up your weekends, this is the position for you. Consistent Work & Hours:
Put in ~50 hours a week (roughly 10-hour evening shifts, Mon-Fri) so you can rely on a solid, predictable paycheck every week.
Starting Rate:
$28-$35+ based on experience

Enjoy your Saturday and Sunday off—no weekend shifts required.
Stable Industry:
Critical local service role with consistent year-round work—no worrying about seasonal layoffs.
Key Responsibilities Fleet Maintenance & Repair:
Perform routine maintenance, safety inspections, and mechanical repairs on heavy fleet vehicles and equipment (compactor trucks, roll-offs, and utility equipment).
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, braking, and engine issues efficiently to keep equipment operating safely.
Preventative Maintenance:
Execute oil changes, fluid flushes, brake jobs, tire swaps, and component replacements. Keep the
Shop Running:
Maintain clean, safe work areas and proper care of tools and diagnostic equipment.
Qualifications & Skills Hands-on Mechanical Experience:
Proven background in automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or industrial mechanical repair.
Strong Troubleshooting Skills:
Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engine repair is a strong plus.
Work Ethic:
Punctual, self-motivated, and comfortable working an evening shift with minimal supervision.
Physical Capability:
Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and handle heavy shop equipment safely.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license (CDL a plus) and standard mechanic hand tools.
