In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure the optimal performance, safety, and longevity of construction machinery, industrial equipment, farm machinery, and transportation vehicles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment and contribute to the success of diverse projects across various industries. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, excellent mechanical skills, and a passion for maintaining heavy equipment to keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals. Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignment checks, and HVAC servicing to ensure equipment reliability. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other heavy equipment. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements or custom modifications. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and inspections while adhering to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. Assist in the assembly and disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades while ensuring proper use of power tools and safety protocols. Support heavy equipment operation when necessary by performing inspections and basic operational tasks to verify functionality before deployment. Skills Proven dealership experience with heavy equipment or automotive repair is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge across a variety of machinery including construction equipment, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicle fleets. Expertise in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, hydraulics, transmissions, diesel engine repair, air brake systems, suspension alignment, HVAC systems, and schematics interpretation. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques for repairs or modifications. Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently using diagnostic tools and technical manuals. Experience with heavy lifting techniques safely handling large components or machinery parts. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication during repairs or consultations with clients or team members.
