Big River Repair is looking for an experienced diesel technician to join our team. We are an independent repair shop working on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, forestry and logging equipment, and other diesel-powered machinery. There is steady work and plenty of variety. This is not a position where you will perform the same repair every day. Big River Repair is focused on maintaining a well-organized shop with clear communication between technicians, parts, service, and office to keep work moving efficiently. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can diagnose problems logically, and communicates well with the rest of the team.

Work may include:

Heavy-duty truck and diesel equipment diagnostics Engine, fuel, cooling, and emissions-related repairs Electrical and starting/charging systems Air brake systems Hydraulic systems Suspension, steering, driveline, and chassis repairs Preventative maintenance DOT inspection repairs Trailers and related equipment Agricultural, construction, forestry, and logging equipment Welding and fabrication Roadside or mobile repairs when needed Required Qualifications Previous diesel, heavy-truck, equipment, agricultural, or fleet-repair experience Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability Ability to complete repairs carefully and efficiently Ability to document findings, repairs, labor, and parts accurately Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Ability to work independently while still supporting the team Valid driver's license Your own professional hand tools appropriate for day-to-day diesel and equipment repair Applicants must have their own tools. Please include information about your experience and the types of repairs you are comfortable performing when applying. Experience with heavy-duty diagnostics, electrical systems, air brakes, hydraulics, or equipment repair is especially helpful. We're looking for someone with a strong mechanical foundation who is motivated to continue learning. Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
