Location Hialeah Full/Part Time Full-Time Exempt from Classified Service No Minimum Rate 76579.61 Min Pay Frequency Yearly Maximum Rate 116655.84 Max Pay Frequency Yearly Regular/Temporary Regular Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Three years of experience in the inspection, repair and maintenance of traction power systems and switchgear to include 15KV and 700 volt DC systems rectification equipment are required. The DTPW classification of Traction Power Supervisor performs safety-sensitive functions and is subject to the provisions of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Drug and Alcohol Regulations. Must possess a CDL/Class B with an air-brake endorsement. Proof of education and work experience to meet minimum qualifications must be presented and will be verified. Recruitment Notes The Traction Power Supervisor position necessitates extensive technical knowledge of high-voltage electrical distribution systems within a mass transit substation environment. The role demands hands-on experience in inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing DC traction power systems, switchgear, transformers, and related electrical equipment. Responsibilities include supervising and directing shift crews, planning and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, coordinating with contractors and other stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and stringent electrical safety standards. The position also entails the ability to respond to emergency outages, minimize service disruptions, and maintain the safe and reliable operation of the transit traction power system.
